Introduction
The Forestry Department of Peninsular Malaysia (FDPM) is a technical agency under the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Sustainability (NRES) that plays a role in administering, managing and developing forest resources in Peninsular Malaysia. FDPMHq has successfully obtained MS ISO 9001:2015 certification which is effective from 24th August 2022 to 23rd August 2025 with the scope of Management of Sustainable Roundwood Production from Natural Inland Forests within Permanent Reserved Forest (Planning on Annual Allowable Cut, Strategy and Objectives and Coordinating Activities Administration and Monitoring).

The Quality Policy of FDPM:

The Forestry Department of Peninsular Malaysia (FDPM) is committed to provide efficient and effective services in the Management of Sustainable Roundwood Production from Natural Inland Forests within Permanent Reserved Forest to be implemented according to time periods, methods and regulations to meet customer requirements.

With the implementation of this Quality Management System (QMS), FDPM is committed to fulfil the requirements set by the stakeholders such as the Ministry, State Authorities and licensees. The Forestry Department of Peninsular Malaysia believes this can be achieved through the adoption of a work culture that meet the requirements of the MS ISO 9001:2015 standard at all levels of employee in implementing an effective QMS with high commitment from top management to all subordinate levels.

FDPM will periodically identify weaknesses within the organization and take improvement measures with the involvement of all employees to continuously enhance the QMS at FDPM.

This Quality Policy serves as the framework for determining the quality objectives of the QMS at FDPM. All Division Directors/ Heads of Unit, State Forestry Directors, District Forest Officers and Forest Renj Officers will monitor and assess the actual performance of the quality objectives set within their respective areas of responsibility and take immediate action when the performance of implementation does not meet the established objectives.
