“Welcome” to all visitors to the Official Website of the Peninsular Forestry Department (JPSM). This site was first developed in 1996 with the aim of being JPSM's main electronic container to reach out to our customers. This site has also undergone various design improvements to meet the needs of customers for access to information related to JPSM. Well done and congratulations to the JPSM Website Committee for remaining committed in improving the JPSM Official Website from time to time.

As the newly appointed Director General of Forestry of Peninsular Malaysia from 10 September 2019, I am very pleased to record my deepest gratitude for all the continued support and cooperation of all our customers to the implementation of various JPSM programs. On this occasion, allow me to also record my thanks to YBhg. Datuk Borhanudin bin Haji Arshad who retired on 20 August 2019. The year 2019 marks the 118th anniversary of the establishment of the Forestry Department of Peninsular Malaysia since its establishment in 1901. This period is a long period and is enough to prove that forestry still remains relevant today as one of the important sectors in contributing to the socio-economic development of the country and the well-being of the people. At the same time, this situation also shows that JPSM has gone through a long period of time in overcoming challenges and constraints to shoulder the responsibility to ensure that forest resources will continue to be utilized by present and future generations.

JPSM's Official Website is one of JPSM's important communication media to reveal the organization's current high commitment to stay close and reach out to all our customers. Therefore, it is my hope that all our customers always use this communication facility and often visit it to find out the latest developments at JPSM.
