Acanthosaura titiwangsaensis has triangular shaped head, short nose and medium-large sized eye. This discovery was first recorded in Cameron Highlands, Pahang by a group of researchers from the National University of Malaysia (UKM) while researching on heptofauna spesies during the Scientific Expedition of Forest Biological Diversity of Cameron Highlands, Pahang held in 2008. According to the research, a full grown adult male can reach to 118.4 mm, while the adult female can reach 112.7 mm. The colour of the scales of Acanthosaura titiwangsaensis is very unique, where two-thirds of the tail is black to back brown colour. The body has yellowish green spots surrounded by grey shades and this differentiates it from the other species.
