This species is originated from North Australia, Papua New Guinea and East Indonesia (Maluku and Irian Jaya). It usually occurs in lowland areas below 100m above sea level. This species can grow up to 30m in height. Among its common usage are for furniture manufacturing and cabinet, door framework, moulding wood, light construction and pulp & paper.

TLC is planted mainly for the woods production and its latex as an supplementary product. Rubber species is fast-growing with high latex production. It can be used for furniture manufacturing, chipboard and medium density fiberboard.

Khaya tree is hardwood and fast-growing. This species grows up to 35m height. Its wood suitable for carpentry, joinery, furniture manufacturing, cabinet work, shipbuilding and in decorative veneer production.

Kelempayan is fast-growing species and suitable for forest replanting. It occurs in lowland area up to 1000m above sea level. This species is light-hard wood and can be used for pulp & paper manufacturing and light construction.

Octomeles Sumatrana

Octomeles Sumatrana

This species occurs throughout Indonesian and also Malaysia (Sabah and Sarawak). It grows in lowland areas up to 1000 m (a.s.l) and suitable to be planted in in an alluvial, clay or sandy clay soil. As the wood is light hard wood, it can be used for light construction and pulp & paper manufacturing.

Paraserianthes Falcataria

This species originated from Maluku, Irian Jaya and Papua New Guinea. It is a fast-growing species and can grow up to 45m in height. The woods can be used for plywood, matchstick, board, carving and pulp & paper.

Aquilaria trees are species under the family Thymelaeaceae. Five (5) species namely; Aquilaria malaccensis, Aquilaria microcarpa, Aquilaria hirta, Aquilaria beccariana and Aquilaria rostrata are being identified in Peninsular Malaysia.
